In AP politics, Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan are sending out a clear message, law comes above party loyalty. Both leaders are showing that even their own party members will not be spared if they cross the line.
The latest incident in Srisailam has brought this principle into action. A few days ago, TDP MLA Budda Rajasekhar Reddy reportedly abused and manhandled forest officials after they blocked his late-night entry into the restricted forest zone. Allegations suggest he even forced their vehicle and intimidated them, causing a major uproar.
Reacting swiftly, Chandrababu Naidu directed police to take action, stressing that no leader is above the law. Following this, police investigations revealed that the prime accused in the case was actually a Jana Sena leader, Ashok Routh, with the MLA named as Accused No. 2.
When police sought permission to file a case against his own party leader, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan gave his nod without hesitation. He made it clear that the law should take its course, no matter who the accused is. Forest officials even met Pawan personally, and he assured them justice would be done.
This combined stand by Chandrababu and Pawan has sent a strong signal across political circles. At a time when ruling party leaders elsewhere often shield their men, both TDP and Jana Sena are showing a rare example of accountability.
