Jagan Flop Show is Now CBN’s Hit Cinema

Farmers of Kuppam finally saw their long wait end as Krishna River water touched their fields this week. What was only a dream for decades has now become a reality under Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership. Kuppan Branch Canal, Main Canal and Punganur Branch Canal get 3850 crores sanctioned recently as part of the re-development of these canals.

Last year, former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy staged a big event in Kuppam claiming to release Krishna water. But it was only for cameras. The water never reached most villages, and farmers were left angry and betrayed. Many called it nothing more than a “film set” made for election propaganda. In fact, the water that was released in this grand event just stayed for three four days in the reservoir and within a week, the reservoir that was meant to store the water and the canals that supplied the water too have got completely dried up and exposed the temporary built structures for the event that was never suitable for irrigation facilities.

Chandrababu Naidu has shown the difference between promises and performance. Within weeks of returning to power, he personally tracked the project, pushed engineers to speed up canal works, and ensured that water actually flowed into Kuppam lands. There were no big speeches and drama by CBN and he just delivered what was promised in a swift response and didn’t make any before election show of it.

The Kuppam Branch Canal is now carrying water to 110 minor irrigation tanks. It will irrigate 6,300 acres and provide drinking water to over 4 lakh people. The canal has been strengthened with lining to stop leakage and waste, something ignored under the YSRCP regime.

Farmers say they can now cultivate without fear of drought, and villages once starved of water can finally breathe easy. The contrast is sharp: Jagan used Kuppam’s thirst for a political photo-op, while Naidu worked just within an year to quench it for his constituency and regions’s development.

For Kuppam, this is not just water, it is proof that strong leadership matters and why Chandra Babu Naidu has been getting elected unanimously over decades. And the people know who delivered and didn’t believe any film setting premise put by the former Chief Minister who even at point has claimed to oust Chandra Babu Naidu from Kuppam constituency.
