Telugu Talli Flyover Renamed as Telangana Talli!

One of the long awaited decisions pertaining to the famous Telugu Thalli flyover in Hyderabad has been finally approved by the GHMC last evening.

The ling standing demand to rename the Telugu Thalli flyover as Telangana Thalli flyover has been proposed by the GHMC board and subsequently approved shortly after.

Mayor Vijayalakshmi has communicated the move to the media as she conveyed that this decision is in the best interests of Telangana people and it would further enhance their pride.

This iconic flyover commenced construction in 1997 and solved the traffic crisis between lower tank bund and secretariat. But since the formation of the Telangana state in 2014, there have been several demands to rename it as Telangana Thalli.

The previous BRS government contemplated this decision several times but never really took the final call. But the new GHMC board under the Congress tenure has finally taken the decision and this would be made official soon.
