See Jagan, Raju garu Donates Hundreds of Acres Once Again

Senior TDP leader Ashok Gajapati Raju and his family have once again drawn attention for their generosity and commitment to public welfare. Even after stepping away from active politics following his appointment as the Governor of Goa, Ashok Gajapati Raju continues to contribute meaningfully to Andhra Pradesh through his family trust.

According to reports, the Manasas Trust owned by the Gajapati Raju family has voluntarily donated 136 acres of land to the Andhra Pradesh government for the development of a large aviation city at Bheemunipatnam. The proposed project will be developed in collaboration with the GMR Group. The land is located in a prime area of Bheemili in Visakhapatnam district and is said to be worth several hundred crores based on current market value.

The land donation reportedly took place a few days ago in the presence of IT and Industries Minister Nara Lokesh in Visakhapatnam. During the occasion, Ashok Gajapati Raju is said to have reiterated that his family would continue its charitable work for the welfare of society. He also reportedly described Nara Lokesh as a member of their extended family, reflecting the long standing association between the two families.

The Manasas Trust owns vast land holdings across the Uttarandhra region and has a long history of philanthropy. Over the years, the trust has donated land for multiple public projects and welfare initiatives. One of the most notable contributions was the donation of land for the establishment of the Tribal University in Vizianagaram district.

After Ashok Gajapati Raju reduced his political involvement due to age and health reasons, his daughter Aditi Gajapathi Raju stepped forward to continue his legacy. She contested the assembly elections in both 2019 and 2024. In 2024, she secured a decisive victory and emerged as a key political figure in Vizianagaram district. She is currently handling political responsibilities in the region and is known to share a strong working relationship with Nara Lokesh.

During the previous YCP government, the Gajapati Raju family and the Manasas Trust reportedly faced sustained pressure and personal targeting. Many in the region viewed this as political vendetta rather than governance. This treatment created strong resentment among people in North Andhra, especially in Vizianagaram and surrounding areas.

Political observers believe that this perceived targeting of a respected family with deep roots in public service became one of the key factors behind YCP’s heavy losses in the North Andhra region in the 2024 elections. The continued goodwill enjoyed by the Gajapati Raju family, combined with their charitable actions, appears to have strengthened public trust and reinforced their standing among the people once again.
