All Set for a Historic Republic Day @ Amaravati

For the first time since its announcement as Andhra Pradesh’s capital, Amaravati will host the state-level Republic Day celebrations. The move is being seen as an important milestone by not just as a political move but also as a policy move will also mark the announcement of the official capital bill for Amaravati that will make it the official permanent capital of the state by law that cannot be changed by any later political means.

The Government has decided to conduct the January 26 celebrations in the Amaravati Capital Region, giving the city a symbolic push as the administrative and meaning behind as people’s capital of the state. Until now, Republic Day events were held in other locations due to delays in capital development.

The celebrations will take place at a newly developed parade ground near Seed Axis Road, located opposite the minister’s bungalows. The ground has been specially prepared for the occasion, reflecting the government’s focus on showcasing Amaravati’s progress.

According to officials, a large-scale arrangement has been made to accommodate both dignitaries and the general public. A parade ground spread over 22 acres has been developed, while 15 acres have been reserved for VVIP and VIP parking. In addition, around 25 acres have been allocated for public parking to avoid congestion on the day of the event.

Minister Narayana recently reviewed the arrangements and inspected the facilities being put in place. He directed officials to ensure smooth entry, seating, and overall convenience for everyone attending the celebrations.

In a special gesture, a separate VIP gallery has been arranged exclusively for Amaravati farmers. Invitation cards are being sent to them, acknowledging their role and sacrifices in the capital’s development.

Officials from the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) are arranging seating for nearly 13,000 people. Special attention is being given to safety, crowd management, and accessibility.

Holding Republic Day celebrations in Amaravati for the first time is not just about an event but is a strong message that the capital project is moving forward and reclaiming its rightful place in the state’s future led by CBN vision.
