Vijay’s Super Victory, But Not Right To Insult Pawan Kalyan!

Thalapathy Vijay is becoming the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu against all odds.

Vijay did not run a spirited campaign before the elections. He did not come out until 7-8 months of the elections. Everyone mocked him calling Work from Home Politician.

We have seen him struggle with his divorce case, Trisha matter, Jana Nayagan Censor issues, the movie’s subsequent leak, and Karur Stampede Case in which he was summoned to the Delhi for the CBI investigation multiple times.

However, at the end, Vijay was able to convert his film popularity into votes and also the remaining sections towards him using the anti-incumbency. As Vijay won, social media is abuzz about Pawan Kalyan’s Political Career.

There were people who were trying to insult Pawan Kalyan saying he could not come to power alone and had to be a part of the government via the alliances route.

While Vijay’s victory is special, it is not right to insult Pawan Kalyan because the political conditions in both the cases were not comparable.

In Tamil Nadu, there is vacuum for Vijay’s Party because there is severe anti-incumbency on the DMK and AIADMK is completely battered after Jayalalithaa’s demise. BJP aligned with AIADMK but the Saffron Party and its Hindutva motto is more of a burden than strength.

Pawan Kalyan’s scenario is entirely different. TDP and YSR Congress are super strong in Andhra Pradesh Politics and there is no vacuum whatsoever for Janasena.

Vijay had projected himself as Caste-Neutral but Christians rallied with him big time. The Kapu Community that was supposed to support Pawan Kalyan was in a dilemma after the failure of Praja Rajyam Party.

They thought Pawan Kalyan can not sustain politics for so long like Chiranjeevi. This was a major factor that curtailed Pawan Kalyan’s Political Chances especially in 2019.

When in alliance with the TDP, he appeared formidable and so, the sections that deserted him voted him considering he will win. In Indian politics, voters do not waste their vote by betting on a losing horse. In 2019, Janasena was the losing horse and it appeared as a winning horse in 2024.

That is the reason for Janasena winning 21 out of 21 and 3 out of 3 in 2024 elections, a feat never before and maybe never after in Indian Future.

So, it is not justified to compare the political journeys and challenges of Vijay and Pawan Kalyan and call Pawan Kalyan a failure.
