Vintage South Indian politics are back in the picture thanks to the ongoing program of events in Tamil Nadu that are unfolding after the assembly polls last week. All the parties are in a peculiar situation and are having to implement their own strategies.
On one hand, the AIDMK MLAs are stationed a private resort in Tamil Nadu. The party leadership is committed to keeping hold of its representatives and they are making their own moves to somehow form the government despite the numbers being against them.
The Congress party has strategically shifted its MLAs to Hyderabad last night, in order to prevent any chances of poaching. They have announced an alliance with TVK, but are still scared of possible poaching from AIADMK.
VCK with its two MLAs is turning out to be the game changer in Tamil Nadu politics and they are in touch with both TVK and AIADMK camps to milk the situation.
The second largest party DMK, which is led by Stalin is sitting silent and observing the series of events. They are supporting which government that forms the ruling coalition and will strategically let the public do all the thinking about what’s happening.
As it appears, multiple parties in Tamil Nadu are employing multiple strategies all at the same time, and this is going to be a huge political issue that’s unfolding on its own.
