The expected is going to happen as PM Modi has categorically accepted the request of Chief Ministers of all states to extend the lockdown.
Though the official announcement is yet to arrive, a tweet by New Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has confirmed it.
“PM has taken correct decision to extend lockdown. Today, India’s position is better than many developed countries because we started lockdown early. If it is stopped now, all gains would be lost. To consolidate, it is imp to extend it,” tweeted Kejriwal.
From the sources we hear that AP CM YS Jagan requested Modi to restrict lockdown to virus infected areas those which are declared as ‘Red Zones.’ But sadly Jagan was the one among the very few CMs who wanted partial lockdown.
Seems like PM Modi will go ahead with lockdown extension with no other choice. Delhi sources added Modi is likely to address the nation tonight or tomorrow and would so.
Alright folks another two weeks more and if Corona’s influence doesn’t come down, then it’s all up to Centre to decide when it would let people out.
