OG Mumbai Beats Table Topper Delhi!

The real OG of IPL, Mumbai Indians who have been struggling badly this season have shown glimpses of their usual billions today. They have managed to beat the in-form Delhi Capitals side in what has been one of the closest encounters this season.

After being put into bat first Mumbai 205 runs and set a relatively decent target of 206 for Delhi. In response, Dilli got off to the worst possible start as they lost the first wicket on the very first delivery.

However, Karun Nair, who was brought into the game as impact substitution, created a shattering impact. He was absolutely brilliant with the bat and scored 80 runs before getting out. This created an opening for Mumbai Indians to capitalise on, and considering the predator mentality of this champion side, they were ready to punish on the opportunity.

In the end, Mumbai defeated Delhi by imagine of 12 runs. More interesting thing here is that Delhi lost the last three wickets for virtually no runs as all three dismissals turned out to be runouts. 

Delhi Capitals, who had been in supreme form this year and had defeated both Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings earlier in the season, got humbled in the hands of Mumbai last night. 

Thanks to this impressive win, Mumbai come to 7th position on the points table while Delhi slipped from first position to 2nd position.
