Jacqueline Tried To Flee The Country & Destroy Evidence: ED

In a new update of the 200 crore extortion case on Sukesh Chandrasekhar, the agency alleged that actress Jaqueline Fernandez tried to destroy the evidence and even planned to flee the country.

The Enforcement directorate opposed Jacqueline Fernandez’s application for regular bail in the case. The ED alleged Jacqueline tampered with evidence during the investigation by deleting data from her cell phone. The ED also alleged that Jacqueline tried to flee the country but couldn’t do because her name was on the ‘lookout circular’, the possible list of people who would want to flee India.

In another point raised by ED, Jacqueline allegedly did not cooperate with the investigation when made to sit face-to-face with other accused in the case. It is already known that ED says Jacqueline and Nora Fatehi received luxury cars and many other expensive gifts from Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who is jailed for allegedly cheating many people for money, including former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh’s wife Aditi Singh.

The bail hearing of Jacqueline was posted to November 10.

Meanwhile, Sukesh Chandrasekhar sent a letter out through his lawyer. Sukesh says it is not her fault to accept those gifts and also that he earned each and every penny spent on those gifts through legitimate sources of income.

Sukesh reportedly wrote, ‘It’s very, very fortunate that Jacqueline has been made an accused in the PMLA (money laundering) case. We were in a relationship and if I have given her and her family gifts, what is their fault… She never asked me for anything except loving her and standing by her.’
