I Don’t Want People To Point Fingers At My Fitness – MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni-led his team Chennai Super Kings to a big victory against Rajasthan Royals last night. His master tactical skills helped CSK bowlers in troubling RR’s batsmen during the second innings of the game. One thing that drew everyone’s attention was Dhoni’s brilliant dive to save himself from getting run out in the first innings. Speaking about it, Dhoni said that he doesn’t want people to point finger at him saying he is unfit.

Speaking in the post-match presentation, Dhoni said, “I wasn’t guaranteeing performances when I was 24 and I can’t guarantee when I am 40. But at least if people can’t point finger at me that he is unfit, then that will be a big positive for me.” Dhoni lauded his bowlers for defending the score of 188 on a flat deck like Wankhede.

He said, “I felt Sam bowled really well. Deepak tried knuckleball too much at the start. It was spinning a bit so I don’t mind Jos playing a reverse sweep. It always helps to have a sixth bowling option and it was stopping a bit for spinners.” Jadeja and Moeen Ali scalped five crucial wickets in the middle overs and ensured a win to CSK.
