Irrespective of language, film industries are still scrambling to shift large chunks of their film releases in response to the first, second waves, and the latest coronavirus variant, besides cinema closures. Among several films which were postponed indefinitely during the pandemic, Rana and Sai Pallavi’s Virata Parvam stands prominent.
While many small films that had day-and-date theatrical and on-demand debuts have proceeded with OTT releases, films like Virata Parvam have been reshuffled and moved countless times in 2021 and are being delayed. The filmmaker of Virata Parvam, Venu Udugala and the whole team are reportedly planning for an exciting update to avoid an ‘out of sight; out of mind’ situation.
Been a long time, there has hardly been an update from the makers and finally, it will be a treat for fans who are waiting for something memorable. On the occasion of Rana’s 37th birthday on 14 Dec, the makers are planning to release a lyrical video. And to much surprise, Rana himself may croon the song. How exciting is that?!
Doing so will be a big plus both for the makers who suffered from a year of procrastination and for fans who are desperately looking forward to it. This new and intriguing update is at least giving us a hint on where Virata Parvam stands for now. The film is produced by D. Suresh Babu and Sudhakar Cherukuri.
Virata Parvam, a period drama, revolves around the Naxalite movement that took place in the Telangana region in the 1990s. Besides Rana, the film also stars Sai Pallavi, Priyamani, Nandita Das, Naveen Chandra, Zarina Wahab, Easwari Rao, and Sai Chand. The film was initially set to release on 30 April 2021.
