4 Releases In 8 Months From A Star Hero!

The complete actor, Mohanlal, is all set to set a unique record this year. With already two theatrical releases to his name this year, he is gearing up for one more. With just five months having passed, Mohanlal entertained the audiences with Empuraan and Thudarum. Now, he is bringing up Hridayapoorvam for a release during Onam 2025.

With Empuraan opening to mixed reviews, Mohanlal managed to stay in the limelight despite all the criticism. The movie created quite some buzz and also made big numbers at the box office. The movie opened big across the nation, and especially in Kerala.

On the other side, the recently released movie Thudarum also created a phenomenal record of grossing over 100 Cr rupees in Kerala alone, which is the first film to do so. Across the nation, the film scored well and it was released in Telugu as well. As the fans are rejoicing over these two films, the actor took to X today to confirm that the shoot of Hridayapoorvam has come to an end.

In just 8 months, Mohanlal will have three films and if Hridayapoorvam also works at the box office, he will become the first senior actor in the recent times to have three consecutive hits in a single calendar year. Earlier, actors like Mammootty has done this in Malayalam and no other senior hero across South or in India are able to bring films this fast to theatres. Mohanlal is truly living his dream of an actor and is going very passionate about each project he is working on.

Hridayapoorvam is a family drama film directed by Sathyan Anthikad from a screenplay by Sonu T. P., based on a story by Anthikad’s son Akhil Sathyan. The film is scheduled for a grand release on August 28th.

On the other hand, Mohanlal will next be seen in Kannappa as well and it will be a limited role. We can count it as a release too.

Apart from all these projects, Mohanlal is working on Vrushabha, Ram and another project in Malayalam.
