Global Star Ram Charan’s wife, businesswoman and humanitarian Upasana Kamineni Konidela, shares a powerful message for Indian women on marriage.
Known for her strong advocacy of financial independence and emotional well-being, Upasana took to social media to offer a heartfelt piece of advice: Women today should marry from a place of strength, not fear.
Her empowering perspective encourages women to build self-worth, confidence, and independence before entering into marriage, reminding them that true partnership begins when both individuals bring strength to the table.
“Let’s encourage our women to marry from strength, not fear. No more marrying for money or status – those can be built together with the right partner, if needed,” she wrote, urging society to stop imposing timelines on women.
She spoke about how modern relationships must be built on mutual respect, stability, and emotional maturity.
Drawing from a recent class at Harvard with Prof. Debora Spar, Upasana highlighted how women no longer need marriage to achieve status, companionship, or parenthood, instead, they must choose it, from a place of empowerment.
“Find your Ram,” she encouraged, alluding to a partner who offers strength, not stress.
