The box office in Telugu states is looking for a big blockbuster currently. The ongoing month did not witness a big success at the box office. While Dacoit performed well in some areas, it did not get an unanimous response. However, everyone is looking forward to May month now.
In May, Tharun Bhascker’s Gayapadda Simham is lined up for a big release. With debut director Kashyap Srinivas at the helm, the promotions are interesting already.
On the other hand, Satya is betting high on Jetlee, directed by Ritesh Rana. The film is also creating a good buzz in the film circles.
Apart from these two, there are also dubbed films, including Kara, in the pipeline. Led by Dhanush, it is carrying good buzz. If the story clicks, Dhanush may score another hit at the box office.
Mammotty and Mohanlal are sharing the screen space after a long time in Patriot. The film is also lined up for a release next month. However, the team is struggling with censor clearances which spark doubts in dubbing release.
Sai Pallavi’s debut film Ek Din is also scheduled for a release next month. The promotions are low-key, but Sai Pallavi’s factor could bring some attention towards the movie.
Meanwhile, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia are coming up with Raja Sivaji. The biographical film on the life of Chatrapathi Sivaji Maharaj, the film may also work well in Telugu circuit like Chhaava.
The audiences are eagerly looking forward to some good cinema this Summer season and unfortunately, we do not have biggies lined up this year. In few more days, we will know who will lead the May month at the box office.
