#MAA: Naresh Hurt With Naga Babu’s Comments

A day after actor Prakash Raj introduced his panel for the Movie Artists Association (MAA) elections, on Saturday actor Naresh held a press meet to reveal his panel. Talking on the occasion, Naresh expressed his disappointment over Mega brother Naga Babu’s comment who said, ‘MAA’s image has gone downwards.’

Naresh is the current President of MAA and speaking he said, “This press meet is nothing against Prakash Raj’s panel. In fact Prakash Raj informed me about his willingness to contest the MAA elections about three months back.”

Regarding the ‘Non-Local’ tag to Prakash Raj, Naresh said that anyone who has acted in Telugu films, is free enough to contest the MAA elections. “Vishnu Manchu is an industry person and irrespective of failure and success, he is doing films and like him many others can contest,” said Naresh.

On his tenure Naresh stated that the welfare and development works taken up by me as President were constantly informed to the biggies in the industry. “I’m not good at telling stories and this press meet is not to abuse or provoke anyone. In fact no one asked me to contest the MAA elections last time. A few in the industry said I can never become MAA President but I was elected and did a lot of work,” said Naresh.

Finding fault in a few members of current MAA panel Naresh said he was shocked upon seeing people who were with me the last time. “The people in the current general body joined Prakash Raj’s panel and it was a bit surprising for me. Also the comment of Naga Babu has hurt me. Nevertheless we are good friends and I really have no clue why he made such a comment,” stated Naresh.

On the election schedule, Naresh revealed that writer Paruchuri Gopalakrishna had suggested holding the elections in September month and everyone agreed to it. So as per it MAA elections would be held in September without any fail.

Naresh’s panel had Karate Kalyani, Siva Balaji and a few other notable faces.
