Literally no one can predict what will be the next statement to come out of United States president to Donald Trump’s mouth. Just a few weeks back, he called India a hellhole which has been exporting its citizens to exploit the USA.
Today he changed his stand completely, and said India is a great friend of the United States and he added that he himself is a big fan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“I love India… I just want to say hello to everybody. I love the Prime Minister. PM Modi is great; he is my friend” Donald Trump said on live television as he made a virtual appearance on United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio’s visit to India.
Further praising India, he added, “We have never been closer to India, and India can count on me and our country 100 percent. If they need any help, they know where to call. They call right here. We are doing well. We are setting records.”
The fact that President Trump has said India is a great friend of the United States, and for that they are just a phone call away might be reassuring statement.
But when it comes to administrative action, United States has been taking many measures against the Indian population. The recent change of order, which mandates Indian population in the USA to head back to India to file for green card is one such example.
