#IPL: SunRisers Hyd Secure Their First Win

At last SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) have opened their winning account in the 2022 IPL by defeating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the match 17. Having won the toss SRH skipper Kane Williamson decided to bowl first.

CSK though started their innings decently, SRH bowlers picked wickets at regular intervals. Openers Robin Uttappa and Ruturaj Gaikwad were moved for low scores. And CSK batsmen kept walking to the pavilion every now and then. But Moeen Ali tried to resist SRH bowlers with his 48. In the end, CSK was restricted to 154 runs in their 20 overs.

Chasing the target SRH made a superb start. Captain Williamson and another opener Abhishek Sharma put on 89 for the first wicket. Youngster Abhishek Sharma scored a winning knock of 75 and he received ‘Player Of The Match’ award.

SRH chased 155 target with 2.2 overs left and that could help them in the net run-rate. But for Chennai Super Kings, it is their fourth consecutive defeat and this for the second time that they lost four games in a row.
