The Hyderabad Cricket Association generally faces a lot of complaints about internal corruption and lack of integrity when it comes to the development of the stadium infrastructure at the Uppal Stadium.
So, Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise took matters into own hands as they reportedly spent Rs 10 crores towards renovation of the Hyderabad cricket stadium.
But still, the Hyderabad Stadium is facing complaints about lack of adequate facilities and even basic cleaning at the premises. The recent game that happened in Hyderabad Stadium between SRH and Lucknow exposed these problems again.
Fans commented about lack of hygiene at the upper deck seats, which were not cleaned and had a lot of dust on them. A few people even posted that they spent thousands of rupees on tickets only to sit on these ugly and unhygienic sitting arrangements.
A few others posted about the lack of basic cleaning at the bathrooms, especially the female facilities. Others commented about the unreasonably high food prices as even starting range was set at Rs 120.
At a time, when other neighbouring stadiums like Bengaluru and Chennai offer better accommodation and facilities to fans, this constantly redundancy of the Hyderabad stadium is a matter of concern.
Almost every year, there are the same set of complaints against the Hyderabad Stadium, but somehow they go unrectified all the time. Perhaps a better management is required at the stadium to oversee the activities.
