MP Appears Completely Naked In A Zoom Video Call

The pandemic has made millions of people around the world adapt to what is now the “new normal”, that is the use of video conferencing platform Zoom. But, embarrassing mistakes on video calls can dent your professional image and so do with a Canadian lawmaker, William Amos. William Amos, a Canadian Parliament member, was caught stark naked in a virtual meeting of the House of Commons. He appeared entirely naked in front of his fellow lawmakers and left him in utter embarrassment.

Due to the high rise in covid cases, many Canadian lawmakers participated in sessions via video conference and William Amos, who has represented the Quebec district of Pontiac since 2015, was also seen in the call. However, the screenshot obtained by The Canadian Press shows Amos standing there completely naked between the Quebec and Canadian flags.

He immediately sent an email stating – “This was an unfortunate error″.”My video was accidentally turned on as I was changing into my work clothes after going for a jog. I sincerely apologize to my colleagues in the House of Commons for this unintentional distraction. Obviously, it was an honest mistake and it won’t happen again,” he added.

“I made a really unfortunate mistake today & obviously I’m embarrassed by it,” Amos tweeted on his Twitter handle later in the day. As per ‘Rules of Order and Decorum’, no dress code is required to sit it on a debate, but men are required to wear contemporary business attire. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who leads Amos’ Liberal party, is yet to comment on this embarrassing incident.
