Pawan Warns AP Ministers For Foul Mouthing Telangana

Last week Andhra Pradesh and Telangana ministers had an ugly verbal exchange. It all started with Telangana finance minister Harish Rao asking Andhra construction workers to cancel their votes in their respective state and register in Telangana. He also raked up the topics of roads, Polavaram dam construction and Special Category Status.

YCP ministers from Botsa Satyanarayana to Sidiri Appalaraju reacted quite harshly. However, minister Sidiri Appalaraju went on to make derogatory comments against Telangana and his comments irked AP CM YS Jagan.

Telangana minister Harish Rao received backing from Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. “Harish’s comments were made within a context but the reaction from the YCP minister is unacceptable. They should control their tongues and it’s inappropriate to comment in an insulting tone against Telangana people,” said Pawan Kalyan.

“Many YCP ministers have properties and businesses in Hyderabad and Telangana. Yet they continue to insult Telangana people and the region. When YCP ministers are making such filthy comments, what were the seniors in the party doing? I urge YCP ministers and leaders not to make provocative comments against the Telangana region and people but first they should apologize for their comments,” added Pawan Kalyan.

Well, Telugu Desam party and its president Chandrababu Naidu should also have reacted to this controversy to corner YCP. TDP has been criticizing YCP government on a number of issues but they failed to utilize a crucial episode and it would also have benefited them in Telangana.
