Corona India: 1990 Positive Cases in 24 Hours

In a shocking jump in the number of Covid-19 positive cases in the country, as many as 1990 cases were newly reported and 49 new deaths in the country in the last 24 hours. This is seen as a big spike. Thus the total count of Corona positive cases stood at 26,496 and the total deaths reported are at 824.

Ever since Corona Virus pandemic broke out, this is the first time in the country that 1990 cases were reported in 24 hours. Majority of these cases were reported in Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh. IN Maharashtra, so far, 7628 positive cases were reported of which 323 deaths were reported.

In the last 24 hours, 800 new positive cases were reported in the state. Maharashtra amounts to 13.8 percent of Covid-19 cases across the country. Financial Capital Mumbai has registered highest number of cases in Maharashtra followed by Pune and Nagpur. In Pune district, 1154 cases were found of which 73 have died.

After Maharashtra, Gujarat is the next highest with total number of cases is at 3071 of which 133 have lost lives. The situation is serious in Madhya Pradesh as well where 91 positive cases were identified yesterday. The total cases in Madhya Pradesh is at 2036 of which 99 have died. In Bhopal alone, 1176 positive cases were identified so far. In national capital Delhi, the total positive cases are 2625 and 54 have died.

Veering off to Telugu states, 1061 positive cases were identified in Andhra Pradesh of which 31 lives were lost and 171 people have recovered. In Telangana, total positive cases reached 991 of which 26 people died and 280 people recovered.
